If you wonder why Options Strategist doesn't work.

If you try to use Options Strategist in MBT Desktop Pro and it crashes with "run-time error 0" check your Windows' Regional and Lenguage Options. "Format" in Format tab should be English (United States). I had "Russian" and Option Strategiest didn't work. I changed Windows date & time format to English (United States) and Options Strategist works now.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Bug: Auto-complete symbols doesn't work in Nav Pro

Ever since I migrated from MBT Nav to Nav Pro Auto-complete symbols in market depth window doesn't work. It remembers the symbols until the program restarts, but doesn't store them in windows registry. As a result you have to enter all symbols fully again in market depth window after the restart. Curiously, even though Nav Pro doesn't store changes in registry, it reads auto-complete histroy left in registry by Nav. So, it auto-completes 50 symbols that were there by the time you used Nav last time, but doesn't add/replace new symbols.

P.S.: "Preferences - General - Auto-complete symbols" turned on.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Decrease minimum candles width from 3 pixels to 1 pixel in the charts

Currently, the smallest width of candles in Nav Pro is 3 pixels. It would be VERY nice if you allowed candles width to be 2 and 1 pixels in future releases, to allow seeing more information in the charts without making the charts a mess. Let me illustrate what I mean:

Candle from MBT Nav pro with the smallest (3 pixels) body width (magnified in Photoshop):

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Bug: Nav Pro crashes when resizing windows with title bar off

If I try to resize quote sheet window that has title bar tuned off (to save desktop space) MBT Nav Pro crashes. Several Nav Pro builds passed but this bug is still here.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

GTC Day+ orders (equities)

I want GTC orders for equities that are active not only in regular hours but also in premarket and afterhourse trading, i.e. they should be active since 4 AM to 8 PM. This is definately possible - for less liquid stocks I can see the same orders active in ARCA since 4:15 AM each and every day. Also if I place an order to ARCA in the morning with a "Day+" TIF, it will have the same effect but only for 1 day. The next day I have to place the order again.

The idea is to place a GTC order that will be executed if the trading at certain level occurs no matter when: in regular or extended hours. Often the most extreme price levels are reached in premarket or afterhours trading. For example, I sold VXX at 36.66 on 05/21 in premarket. This level wasn't visited in regular trading neither before nor after that for many weeks. If I wasn't in front of the computer in premarket I would miss an excellent selling point. GTC Day+ order would solve the problem.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Ability to Draw a parallel line in Nav Pro

I can't find a way to draw a parallel line to an existing trendline in Nav Pro charts. If it exists can someone please explain me how to do it, otherwise it would be nice to see this basic feature to be implemented.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Automatic switching of visible session (premarket/regular trading) in

It is quite boring to start each and every day with turning on "all sessions" in every intraday chart and then switching all charts back to "main session" right before the open. I miss an "auto session" option which would work similar to "Default" timeframe in Quotetracker:
1. for the previous days show only main session charts.
2. for the current day show premarket session until market opens ("all sessions" option in MBT Nav)
3. once the market opens switch to "main session" and hide premarket trading from the charts.
4. once the market closes, NavPro should display afterhours trading but still hide premarket trading.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Charts of premarket trading should start at 4 AM not 8 AM

ARCA works since 4 AM, INET works since 7 AM. Why MBT nav starts to plot premarket trades ("All sessions" turned on) only since 8 AM? A lot of news and earining releases happen before 8 AM. It would be nice if in future versions MBT Nav displayed all premarket trades starting 4 AM.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

News stories

It would be nice if Nav Pro provided access to news stories about stocks. In particular, if you could right click on a stock and say "See recent stories". This would show a list of all recent news stories about the stock - including earnings news. You could choose any story and pull up the full text to read. Other brokers (e.g. Schwab) offer this!

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Filter of bad ticks

I suggest implementation of a filter to remove bad ticks from the charts (filter could give the option of removing ticks that are a certain percentage offset away from the last valid traded price).
In alternative, a method to manually remove bad ticks would be appreciated.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Scroll bars in Time and Sales window

It would be nice if you offered scroll bars in the Time and Sales area of the Market Depth window. This way you could scroll to see earlier transactions. There are scroll bars for the Bid / Ask prices but not the Time and Sales.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Allow Studies like a Moving Avg to overlay Volume (not just Price)

Traders using Investor's Business Daily need to track the 50 day moving avg of Volume. Can this be added?

Currently Nav Pro will only overlay a Study or Formula over the price pane or a new pane. Can you amend this to overlay onto the Volume pane? How about adding a drop-down box called 'Display onto' with the following choices: New pane, Price pane, Vol pane or Existing study pane.

Thanks for offering us a great charting program! Keep up the good work.

Return of $1 Minimum (PLAN A) commission for Equities

There has been a change in the equities commission plan, and now the minimum is $4.95 per trade.

I loved the $1 minimum commission plan (PLAN A) as I trade in small amounts now. And based on this plan, I have recommended many friends to MBT as it is the cheapest way to begin trading in the stock market.

Vote for the return of the $1 minimum commission plan =)

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange
