Pip Distance with Cross hair

Be able to click and drag the cross hair on the chart to see the amount of pips from point A to point B. Dukascopy has this feature on their charts that works well.

Terrific new ORDER TYPE

Here's an order type whose (in my humble opinion) time is due or overdue. I'm a FOREX guy, but this would work well with equities too.

I would like to see a "combo" order type (or it could be a "one cancels the other/OCTO possibly) whereas you with one setup establish a stop market+trailing stop+limit order, and the trailing stop attaches to the stop market entry price, not the limit/upper trigger price.

We've all heard the expression "the trend is your friend", so whatever the current price is now, set up a stop market trigger price (to take advantage of our friend the trend) that is higher or lower than the current price, depending on if you want to enter long or short. When that stop market trigger enters you in the trade, automatically a trailing stop is attached at the stop market price and trails your entry point/price,and a limit order is set to grab you a profit.

Here's an example to show how this works and what benefits you receive:

Let's say the NZD/USD is at .8276 (which by the way it really was the other day Yuk! Yuk!) and you think the thing is going to go up. Sooooo you set a stop market price at .8286 (to get in 10 points/pips over the current price if you are right about the trend). In the same order set a trailing stop at .0020 (-20 points). Reminder, this is attached to the stop market/entry price, not the limit price. Then set your limit order at .8316 to take a 30 pip profit.

Voila! You are right! The NZD/USD goes up and gets you in long at .8286. You have a trail that starts at .8266 and a take profit limit order set at .8316,automatically,no messing around with mutiple set ups.

Let's say that your hunch is right and the NZD/USD continues up. And lets also say that you are really good with charts. You guesstimated accurately and the NZD/USD goes up to .8316 and closes you out with a 30

Navigator lacks DOM Basic buttons

Navigator needs the basic bottons on depth of market:

1) Cancel all Bids
2) Cancel all Offers
3) Close position
4) Reverse Position
5) Close EVERYTHING
6) Pour Cold Beer

Navigator needs Advanced Stop management:

1) Stops need to have the ability to be placed and modified, dragged and dropped to new levels, on the depth of market limit book.
2) OCO orders need to be kept on the mbt servers, as do trailing stops.

Navigator needs Trade performance Stats Module which can be used to sort and evaluate account performance statistics

MAT 'Balances by Account' tab should display commissions column

Currently the MAT 'Balances by Account' tab holds the following unchangeable columns:
Account, EE (Excess Equity), Open P&L, Closed P&L, Today Total P&L.

I am not sure why a 'Commissions' column is left out from this list,
as it invariably affects the actual P&L. Would very much like to
have an option to view this column, or otherwise, simply to have it always
displayed.

Everything is great when your making buckets of money! But what if you want or need to make more or stop losing loads? Without the ability to review bulk trading stats whether realtime on the fly intraday or daily, weekly, monthly...etc . You'll never know % winnes or % losers or Profit factor or % profitable....You just have a bottom line P&L on your account. AND that is NOT enough to thoroughly evaluate and analyze one's trading performance .....you're bacically trading in the dark.
Create Custom Take Profit and Stop Out Order

It's is good and necessary on fast moving market which if could pre-create a custom take profit and stop out order.

Pre-Create Custom order as follow (for example):
1 - Buy/Sell Limit/Market @price Target 1 - 20 point with 20 point stop out
2 - Target 2 - 40 point and auto adjust original stop out to break even point
3 - Target 3 - 60 point and stop out on target 2's profit level.

All 3 target level, can still able to easily adjust/amend accordingly as market move.

In addition, with one click specify specific instrument eurusd or ES to close out with one click.

regards

Hotkey functionality improvement: instrument-specific hotkeys

I want to see improvement of hotkey feature.

Currently i can specify whether i want to buy form ask, sell into bids or enter limit orders on bid or ask side. Also i can specify my quantity, expiration, route, order type or i can create hotkey for cancelling or closing my position. But i want that i can also specify which instrument i want to trade.

So my suggestion is that MBT improves hotkey functionality and allows users to specify what instrument they want to trade also. For example:
Action: Buy
Quantity: 100 000
Expiration: GTC
Order Type: Market
Instrument: EUR/USD.

When i create such a hotkey, this means that i buy 100 000 EUR/USD from market.

Same feature could be useful for equity traders too.

Optionality to choose bid or ask price for charts

Currently in navigator you have only bid price available for fx charting. But sometimes i want to see ask price on chart also.

* First option is to use line chart type chart like this
http://www.fxpedia.com/Editing_Ask_Price,_Average_Price,_and_Bid_Price_Line_Charts
* Second and best option is to modify trading platform by MBT and add option "Use bid" or "Use ask" for charting. Then users can decide if they want to use candlestick charts or line charts or bar charts. Just data is different: bid or ask prices are taken, depends what user prefference is.

Change Order Feature for MAT

I would like to see a new feature in the Open Orders window for the MAT. I only trade using the Stop+TTO. I like to change my lower/upper trigger price after I am already in the trade. I need a feature where I can do this one time to change all the accounts in my open orders.

Yesterday I was in profit by 25 pips and had a 25 pip SL. I wanted to change my lower trigger price on all accounts by 25 pips so the trade was at b/e price for the lower trigger. I had to manually do this for each account I was trading for. There needs to be a feature where I can do this at the click of a button. By the time I got half way down the list of accounts price had already retraced back to put some in the negative.

Sync of the Windows

I have been trading on the MAT for some time now and have in the past have had all of my windows grouped by symbol. The Candidate download does not offer that. The FX Board, Market Depth, and the Stand Alone MAT manager need to be in sync. Please, Please make the system as easy to use as the previous one. Built for traders by traders should mean something. There is no chance a current trader that uses the MAT ran this program and did not bring this up.

PS

The spell check on this page does not work.

Order Allocation - Single Account Transmission

We manage 200+ accounts using Navigator MAT tool and it appears every linked account is processed by our local computer and then each order is sent in individually. This is EXTREMELY slow and our clients get in and out of each trade at very different places, with 30 seconds or more lag time. This lag eliminates the opportunity to do scalping.

It would be much more efficient to trade from one account, transmit that single transaction over the net and then allocate the average price of the attached accounts as a database transaction.

TTO One click quick order/respond

I personally favour TTO order.

It's possible to one click close all pending TTO order (assume more than 1 pair fx order still pending)

Then, follow by it's possible to one click close all TTO current position order (referring to more than one pair fx position).

Suggestion:
It would be even more great if instead of taking 2 steps process as refer above. It would be great by direct to position with ONE CLICK, and auto detect to First close out all pending TTO position then follow by close out all TTO position within "second" - This would safe lots of time by taking 2 steps.

Margin Call

currently, at least in fx .. a position is partially stopped out when it has reached '50 percent' (i forget of what). it is brought back up to 70 percent. allow the option of closing out the position altogether. it has happened that i've had a small position on which i did not bother to put in a stop loss, that i walked away from the screen a few hours during news, and that the position was partially stopped out, then finally fully stopped out. it would have been nice to have been stopped out fully in the case of this plunge. related to this .. possibility of p/l stop-loss on a position or account would be a useful feature.

TTO needs limit functionality
Often got huge slippage when TTO hit and turned into a market order. A disaster if hit during fast market conditions.

To limit pain, we need an option of using a "maket" TTO (as it now stands), or "limit" TTO, i.e. when TTO hits, it simply activates a limit order.

Thanks.

Fixed Fractional Position Sizing

I would love to be able to to use a fixed fractional approach. I want my dollars risked to stay at a percentage of my total account size, then by varying pip-stop-size I can increase or decrease my total lots traded.
Total Dollars in account * Percentage_Risked = Some_dollars_Risk
Some_dollars_Risk/ Pip_Stop_size = Lot_Size_Traded

i don't want to keep my lot size the same, less pips risk should let me trade more lots. :)

I want to clarify the end result - i just want to enter my stop loss in pips and set a percentage risk that is based off my account size in dollars. so each time i take a trade all i need to enter is my stop loss and my total lot sized will be figured automatically. if you want to make money this is the key.

Instant reports from the platform, not the web.

I mean no offense, but MBT's forex reports are essentially useless to me. I really like the way FX Solutions does there. Instantly available from the platform instead of the website, and I can see the results of a completed trade immediately instead of waiting for the website to eventually update. In detail, when a trade closes, I want to be able to immediately see the open and close price, the numbers of pips gained or lost, the monetary amount gained or lost, and for God's sake, please put transaction numbers on the trades, both on the platform and on the report. So if I have trade number 123xyz close on the platform, I know to look for that transaction number in the reports.

Bottom line, look at FX Solutions reporting and duplicate it!

And make all reports downloadable in Excel format!

Thanks!!

Spread trading

Please add spread trading programming to Navigator, e.g. if the difference of the prices of Stock A and Stock B increases or decreases a certain % or a certain number, let's say, 3% or 50 cents, then the spread trade will be automatically executed, i.e. buy Stock A and sell Stock B simutaneously or visa versa. The same program can also be used for options spread trading and stock & option spread trading. And also Navigator has a problem when I try to close my covered call positions. It always says "insufficient buying power" even if I have enough buying power.

Cross-Currency Trading

MBT seems to be missing a few cross-currency pairs, noted particularly with the Nozzie and the Franc, would be nice since I target strong currencies against weak currencies during the intraday. I would probably switch but MBT's order entry trumps it.

Channel Break Trade Function

A Navigator Trade Function

A simple placing of x-lots at position (a) (above current channel) and at (b) (below channel) which is triggered as soon as price of instrument passes above or below the bounds set by (a) and (b).
(a) would trigger a long trade while (b) would trigger a short, while the untriggerred trade would be closed.

A link with TTO's, stop losses, take profit or trailing stops etc. can also be used (as it is with other trading functions)

The current method to do this involves 2 stop limit trades of which only one will trigger. If the channel is tight, the second might also trigger on a retrace or spike before it is physically cancelled. This also means that two sets of lots are allotted. Also it requires closing the stop limit that did not get triggerred.

BlueMental.

More available manual routing options:

Would be nice to have more choice of where to route order manually:

1. for stocks - I'm missing ECNs other then INET and ARCA (how about ADF, EDGX, BATS, ISE?)
2. for stock options - I'm missing an ability to select at what exchange to place my bid or offer. MBTX often routes to less liquid one. While my bid sits at PSE, for example, others' orders get filled at CME or ISE.

For manually routed orders, currently its impossible to change an order. Why?
