Please check overlay for errors

I have a 60 min chart with symbol $SPX I have an overlay of /ESM2

Prem calculated as $SPX minus ES , it''s way off with first two weeks of March @ -50 and -40 , showing Es as never below 1380 on March , i realize that rollover is a factor , but the data is just plain false

Please try it and let me know , Is there a continuous contract used for quotes and chart ? Is there a symbol for $Prem that works?

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Chart window layout

I would like to see more dynamic layout for chart windows. Right now, all the fields in the "symbol bar" are fixed length (width). This means if you put up several chart windows and make them small, the "symbol bar" displayed at the top of the window will often get clipped. The symbol bar has the fields: symbol, interval, session, account. And these fields are all fixed width. Right now, I can see symbol, and interval, and about half of session - and no account.

Could you please try to fit all fields in the width of the chart window? i.e. each field would be total window width/4.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Add info on current ratio between executed order vs total messages sen

with new NFA rule about HFT and new fee that will start in march, same modification to MBT Desktop Pro should be done,
Up to now in mbt desktop pro only number of trade and cancel order are show, with this new rule should be useful to se also number of change/replace order and if possible the actual ratio between executed order vs total messages sent, should be possible a fast platform upgrade? Actually i do a lot of change order and i can't estimate the exact number. Also in statement now should be added a voice to show total message sent to MBT.
Thank you!

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Add Security Token to the Log In Credentials

Increasingly, my financial account log in credentials are being enhanced by the use of a security token that generates a one time password to log into my account. I believe this scheme is becoming the industry norm as online fraud continues to be a huge problem.

One way to add this protection would be for MB Trading to join VeriSign's VIP access network. A customer would buy the token from VeriSign if they wanted this protection... they are $30 and can be used at other sites that also belong to the network... that's what makes this one solution appealing, some customers already own the token, and in any case, could use the same token, and the investment in one across multiple participating sites.

Of course there are many other ways to add this level of security. VeriSign's seems to be a good program from a trusted company. You can check their program out here:

https://vipmobile.verisign.com/home.v

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Chart Tick Counter

A nice feature would be a tick counter on the charts for the current bar, similar to the minute countdown. For example, if a 500 tick chart is being viewed, a counter in the bottom right corner would count from 500 to 0 (or 0 to 500) for each bar, and then start back over when the next bar is printed. This seems like a quick add-in, since the ticks are already being counted.....although I guess there could be a lag between the printed tick count and the actual tick count with high volume securities.

I found no results when searching for this idea, so I am interested to hear if this has ever been brought up.

Thanks,
Brandon

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Training suggestion

I signed up for a demo account. I ave tried using Explorer and Explorer Pro and have found using them to be extremely difficult. I am a beginning trader and this whole thing is new to me.

My first problem is that I am wanting to trade options but your tutorials are about Forex. I am unable to use them. Second problem is as a brand new online trader I am not sure which features/tools that I would need to put on Explorer in order to make it work for me.

When clicking on the options button and bringing that screen/window down found that there no place that I could recognize, to put the information that I need in order to make my trade. The termnology ws different. I did find the place for the ticker and the month and maybe? the date. I found "put" but sell to close and trailing stop were missing.

So my suggestion is that you have a tutorial for beginning option traders taking them step by step and explaining what each thing means. Every one has to start someplace. If your software is easy for a beginner to use they will most likely stay with you. As it is I am having to switch to another broker, one with software that is easier to figure out. I even wents so far as to hire a guy whose has done some computer work for me and is good a figuring out how software functiions and getting things set up. After almost 3 hours he was still stumped and I was several dollars poorer.

Bill

TTO with breakeven (Previous deleted thread)

Guys, I believe I mistakenly deleted our entire thread from this past weekend with regard to TTO with a break even ratchet. I apologize.

My recollection is we had agreement that the need was to create a TTO order where the bottom leg would tick up as the market ticked up beyond our entry point until the leg either hit the break even (basis) number or that number plus a certain amount more. Please add your comments here so we can get this worked on.

Again, my apologies.
Ross

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

Better stop loss

I would like to see better options for stop losses. There are a number of scripts for metatrader that do this already. One example is that a trailing stop loss is implemented after the position is in profit by X amount of pips. The initial stop is cancelled and you can adjust the movement of the trailing stop so that it steps up or down by x number of pips.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange

trade cost

It would be very helpful to know the spread at time of trade entry so we can figure the total cost of trade.

vote for it on MBT Idea Exchange
