— Fix MBT Idea Exchange, so I can actually submit an idea. Half the time it says "The system cannot find the file specified."
I'd be lucky if this gets submitted... read more...

— I find it
extremely difficult to read the first and last digits of the prices on the FX
board. The red against black in very small font does not stand out well. I would
really like to have the option to change that to a colour of my choosing so I
can actually read the price. Unless I have my nose up against the screen the
numbers are very hard to read. The green digits stand
out, but not the red.
By the way, I hold a class 1 aviation medical
with 20/20 vision so please don't suggest I need glasses.
Hope you can implement that in a future
upgrade?
See what I mean?!
Not sure if this will be submitted twice as the screen just displayed "false" - not a very useful message but here goes again!

— The charts already have the ability to be scrolled sideways by using click, hold&drag. What the charts do not have is an easy way to zoom in and out.
Zooming is a frequently-used function, and it would be much quicker, easier, and functional to assign it to the mousewheel.
If the mousewheel performed the zoom function, the mouse pointer could remain on the chart. No need to move the mouse pointer between the chart and the zoom button.
Also, it would be easy to scroll the mousewheel one click for one level of zoom, or scroll it multiple clicks for faster zooming.
(note- the Customization Window already provides the ability to create hotkeys for most of the other functions (buttons) within the Drawing and Chart toolbars. Access the Customizations by going to any toolbar, clicking the arrow on the top right, "Toolbar Options", then "Add or Remove...", then "Customize". Currently the option to assign the mouse double-click does not seem to function (pls fix!), but so far all of the keyboard-based hotkeys do function)
Thank you MBT developers. read more...

— Please show the Current Spread price on Bottom Right of Chart. There is a corner there which currently has NOTHING, just below the 0.00. This would eliminate the need for the FX window. When you are using Tabs, the Symbol tabs could alternate Pair/Spread in the tab. read more...

— MBT recommends only having 4 - 6 charts open in DeskTopPro. I have tried having more than 6 and experience frequent hangs. Even with just 6, one or more of the charts will hang occasionally.
I would like to either be able to open more charts on a single computer or allow multiple simultaneous logins to DesktopPro. Secondary logins (a login on another computer after already logged in on one) could even restrict trading if necessary. All I want to do is use DesktopPro for all of my charts.
A minimum of 12 and ideally 24 charts would be good. read more...

— Your futures symbols should always update to the current front month in the watchlist. This is how my TD Ameritrade account works. I simply put in the symbol, say /YG and it creates the front month. Today is good example of when that would have been helpful. The DOW minis and the S&P 500 minis changed symbol codes. At TD Ameritrade I can still see a current quote, but at MB Trading I have to manually correct my watchlist. Unless you change this behavior I will have to do this every three months. It should just happen, IMO. read more...

— It would be immensely helpful to have an order type in which the TTO has a trailing stop instead of a fixed stop. This would be great for breakout trades where there is another level nearby. Say USD/JPY breaks resistance level at 81.00 Next resistance level is at 81.40. So you enter with say a 12 pip trailing stop and a 40 pip target. It would also be great for range trades. Don't you hate when you buy at bounce off support, price gets halfway to your target then takes out your stop? This would help prevent that. read more...

— I like to see another study added: MACD Histogram only (without the Fast Len/Slow Len and the Signal Line showing). It's center line (0) should be fixed to the center of the study window while the histo bars would change lengths as time goes by to utilize the window's height.
The attached picture shows a chart with both the current MACD and the 'new' MACD Histogram I'm requesting...Thx
Currently I can 'hide' the Fast Len/Slow Len and the Signal Line by changing their colors to match the chart background, but since the centerline is drawn depending on the Fast/Slow/signal lines the histogram becomes hard to read at times.

— Having previewed the 2.2.0.14 beta, I know you are working on adding additional types of Order lines that will show on the chart. Will it be possible to add a check box option to allow them to be aligned on the left hand side of the chart?
As they are now, they sometimes obscure the chart - espesially when the chart used is relatively small, or several orders are placed (or even one TTO order is entered)... The user may want to keep them centered on certain charts (the current
set up) but on other charts, aligning to the left would be good...

— In MBT Desktop Pro it would be useful to have a 'Stop + Stop' order type.
There is currently 'Stop + TTO' which is Ok if you have both upper and lower triggers in mind when the position is opened.
Sometimes I find myself wanting to open a position using a 'Stop Market' order but not able to enter an opposite 'Stop Market' order to protect the position if it is triggered. I either have to wait for the first 'Stop Market' order to trigger and then be on hand to enter the opposite 'Stop Market' order to protect the position, or I have to use 'Stop + TTO' and enter both upper and lower triggers.
A 'Stop + Stop' order would be very useful.
Thanks

—
Adding another button to the
Order Entry pane (or adding a new template type)would facilatate closing a position
that has outstanding orders... making for a "one click"
procedure.
Currently when using an order entry pane (either on
a chart, a Market Depth or a Ladder) we must : 1) change the order type from the
drop down list (from whatever was last used) to Market 2) then
click cancel 3) then click sell.

— Could a Cancel and Close button be added to the Order Entry pane?
This would make it a simple process for “one click” closing of positions that already have conditional orders outstanding...

Currently, choosing to close positions can be problematic if a quick exit is warranted :
A) We can use the right click menu from the Positions window to cancel outstanding orders on positions held to do this, but it it takes at least three clicks...
B) To cancel from the order entry pane requires 1) click cancel 2) change order type from the drop down list 3) click Sell (or Cover)...
C) And from a chart, we can drag a trailing stop or lower TTO order lines above the current price then click the check box to change existing orders...

— (First and foremost- Hats off to MBSupport and Software Development. Thankyou for your continued improvement and dedication.)
1) -Please consider adding the option to "Auto Center" the Market Depth Ladder so that one does not have to actively click "Center" throughout the trading session.
2) - Please consider adding "Show Order Entry" option to the Market Depth Ladder so that one may choose to have the Order Entry dialouge box at the base of the Market Depth Ladder
Much appreciated! read more...

— A nice addition to the current choices of charting solutions would be to offer a special deal with Nirvana Systems, the maker of OmniTrader and VisualTrader. MBTDesktop Pro charting is sluggish and, well, somewhat limited. As to MT4, well, anything is better than MT4. VisualTrader happens to be very nice compared to the former 2 options. I dare say even better than eSignal. From a marketing standpoint, if new user can choose VisualTrader when signing up and get a discount deal or something along those lines, I believe that's gonna make a lot of traders happy and further help MBT differentiate itself positively from the competition (the pox on them ;-) ).
All the best, and keep up the good work. read more...
