Would be nice to have DOM or something similar on MBT navigator. It adds so much convenience to the trading, especially short term.

Out of all partners of MBT, only Ninja Trader has it and it doesnt work properly with MBT (order volumes are not shown on the ladder, only the cumulative volume)

Excuse my ignorance but can an explanation of DOM be posted here so then we can vote knowing what is meant?

DOM is graphical interface for trading and order management. One could place an order or adjust/delete existing one by 1-2 mouse clicks in TradeStation matrix or NinjaTrader, for example - and it's not just usual market order, but any kind of complex order: with predefined stop-loss and target-profit, any limit order, OCO, TTO, trailing stop, etc. Combined with level II functionality on the same screen, this would be nice to have under MBT Navigator.

I think a Dom is a necessity when trading Futures intra-day.

Any updates to this?
I keep trying to convince myself that Ninja Trader is the way to go because it has the DOM (and TRUE on chart trading) but it is such a pig!
It's RAM consumption is ridiculous and it is very unstable even in the latest v7 final release.
The release of Desktop Pro and MBT's serious development efforts being placed behind it have me very optimistic! And now tick charts are being added, great stuff guys.
So is there any ballpark ETA for the DOM yet? Thanks!

BTW I will search elsewhere but has the question been asked about being able to manipulate your stops and targets on the charts by simply clicking and dragging the lines? This on chart trading feature would be great to have in DP as well.

I think we may decide not to launch this. We have developed it and its very nice however the firm that holds a patent on similar technology thinks nothing of suing first and asking questions later. As you know there are several companies that have used our API's in their DOM's that we suggest users try out to get this solution. I am very sorry about this.

Yes I thought about the legal issue when I asked for the update.
Ninja is one of the ones who was sued. Like Shakespeare said "First kill all the lawyers!"

Ninja gets around the suit by charging the license fee through the broker. MBT could do the same thing. This would be a way to release the functionality for those who want it, without penalizing those who don't - we would have to sign up for this capability to enable it in Desktop Pro. For some of us, it would be well worth it.

Believe me I'm clear on it. Unfortunately the license fee is our profit per contract, in some cases in excess of our profit. R

If you read patent carefully there is something about static there. They hold patent for STATIC superDOM, and not Dynamic DOM. You don't have to pay for Dynamic DOM on NinjaTrader, also Multicharts has this, http://www.domsphere.com/ and all are OK without any TT patent fees. You could do the same.

Agreed, you will see a simple DOM in next version of Pro.
