Hello,

Currently in Navigator, I can enter a position with 1 click, if my Order Entry preferences are set up correctly. To exit a position, I have to perform multiple functions to cancel open orders and close my open positions.

I would like to see an additional button (Close of Flatten) that would cancel my open orders and close my open positions in 1 click.

In MAT, the closing of an open position requires me to first cancel my open orders, select the Close radio button, ensure I have properly selected the Cover or Sell option, and select Limit or Market as the order type, and then press Submit.

Having a 1 button Close or Flatten Everything button would simplify this for me greatly.

Thank you for your your consideration.

Andy

This is a grand idea and the feature could be located in the right-click access menu. So the user could simply right-click on the position in the "Position bar" and simply select "close position" and the trade would be closed out at market and any associated stops or limits would be canceled.

I suggested this idea a year or two ago exactly as Mikeenwright has suggested. A right-click function combining the options available already in the menu. It would just mean combining both commands, which close out the stops, as we do first, and then closing out the position. It is just inefficient to have two actions when it can be combined into one. I cannot see any programming reason why these two algorhythms cannot be combined into one, unless the goal is to keep it inefficient for traders. Here is the following email from Justin after submitting the suggestion on August 14, 2008: "Justin LeBlang wrote: > Frank, > Thank you for your email. > I will submit the request for the first part about add "CXL all & Close all Pair Specific (GBP/USD ONLY)" or "CXL all & Close all" ....I think that is a great idea. Doesn't mean it will get completed anytime soon, but its worth a try. I hope this helps. Justin LeBlang Business Development MB Trading Futures

Make a button available, their is already a cancel pending order button. Create a close all open position button, and include this in the right click menu as well. Include the functionality to close all pending orders connected to the positon. Thanks
